Like usual, I woke up at six. I could feel a weight around my waist.

When I looked down, I noticed that my husband's hand was wrapped around my waist.

He's resting soundly, free of remorse and worry.

How can someone sleep soundly after inflicting pain on another person? That stuff is way beyond my comprehension.

My last doctor's appointment was 4 days ago.

I'm not even allowed to grab food from the kitchen. Considering that this mansion is covered in cameras.

On my second day in this house, he informed me of this detail.

He warned me that he would keep an eye on me, and I got the impression that he expects me to obey all of his regulations even when he is not present.

After that, I went to sleep for a while till Maria came into my room and asked what I wanted for lunch.

I sighed and instructed her to prepare anything for me. She then walked out of my room.

I'm not sure why she even asked what I wanted.

She regularly tops off my food with more salt and chilies.

I only eat one or two bites of that food before giving it back to her.

Let's find out what she had in store for me today.

I changed my tampon and went downstairs. She made me pasta today.

I sat down at the table and began eating it. But after only one bite, I started coughing.

I rapidly gulped the water. She may have simply added 2 teaspoons of chilli to my dish.

My eyes were filled with tears, and they began to fall. But I quickly brushed it off and called her.

She came in and said, "Yes, Mrs. Miller, you called me."

"Maria, take this, and no, you don't have to cook anything for me starting today," I said calmly.

"What happened, Mrs Miller?" she said, feigning concern.

So you don't have to put more salt and pepper to my lunch because I'm not going to eat it," I added.

I walked upstairs after that and sat down on my bed.
