Mrs. Druft
They reached the altar and Melena and Gestoni to hand her down to Joffrey. But before he could get his hands on her, a loud crash from the ceiling made all the guests screamed in panic.

Bullets started raining and some men in black entered the church. People were running towards the doors. The Farrows family soldiers pulled out their guns and exchanged fire. Devon swallowed hard, a tinge of hope swelled in her. This is it. It's her chance.

With all the force in her, she bit Joffrey's hand and ran towards the side of the church as what Ariane had told her.

"Devon! Get Devon!" Joffrey ordered.

She began crying again when men began running towards her. Her high heeled shows are slowing her down as well as her heavy wedding dress.

"No... No! No!" she shouted when she reached a dead end while the guards are now closing on her.

"Devon! Here!"

She turned to her side and saw Ariane opening a gate for her. Devon wriggled her feet to throw away her shoes and run towards her friend.

"I thought it's just a bomb. Why are there goons?" she asked while Ariane is busy closing back the gate.

"It can't be helped, Devon. That's just the way it is."

She pulled her by the hand and together, they ran as fast as they can towards a car. Ariane went into the driver's seat and immediately rammed the engine.

"They are still going after us. That's my dad's guards in the two cars behind us."

"I see. Joffrey won't let you out easily," she muttered and took a U-turn but a car swerved to our side and almost rammed us.

"Ariane!" She jolted out of her seat when a bullet penetrated the window shield and pierced Ariane's shoulder.

"Oh my god! Ariane! You are bleeding!"

Ariane cannot help but stop the car. She looked at Devon intently while gasping for breath.

"It's time we part our ways here. You have to save yourself now Devon. I can only go as far as this. Go now. Run away from here."

She shook her head. "I can't. I can't leave you like this! No!"

"Listen, you have to. I'm not going to die, I promise. You have to go now! You are running out of time."

She wiped her tears and opened the door. Even if it's against her will, she has to do what her friend said.

"I swear I will come back for you."

She tore her veil from her head and lifted the gown and began running again. She didn't dare to look back. No matter what happens she will get away from here.

It might seemed impossible and how she wished that she had other someone to rely to but at this point, she will only have to rely to herself.

A tire screeching caused Devon to stop running. She's out of breath and her heels are scarred and bleeding but she doesn't care.

A motorcycle stopped in front of her and a man in a leather jacket threw her a helmet. She can't see his face because of his mask so she retreated a little just to be sure. The man laughed and slowly pulled down his mask.

"D-Daemon?" she asked while in deep shock.

"The one and only, princess."

"What are you doing here?"

"Giving you a ride? Or would you like to go back to your groom and finish the wedding?"

She looked back to see Joffrey's car approaching her.

"No... N-no. I don't want to marry him." Devon stepped towards Daemon who's grinning from ear to ear.

"Then will you come with me, then Farrows?" he inquired and put his hands on his pockets.

"Yes, I will come with you. Just help me get away from him. Please."

"Ah, ah," he stopped her when she's about to mount the motorcycle. "You must be forgetting what we've talked about. The condition you need to fulfill in exchange of protecting you."

Say yes already, Devon, her mind kept nudging her. Surely it's more acceptable to marry Daemon than Joffrey.

"What if I fail to bear you a son? What will happen to me?"

Daemon shrugged as if he's already thought about it through and through.

"One year. I have to give you a year to give me a son. If you cannot provide me one, I will let you go and divorced you right away.. How is that?"

She swallowed hard and nodded. "I'll take that. A year and a son. I can do that for you, Daemon."

A grin slowly emerged on the corner of his lips. "Very well." He held out his hand to her. "Deal?"

She accepted his hand. "Deal."

With so much ease, he pulled her hand to his body and hoisted her waist and helped her mount on the motorcycle.

"Wear your helmet, princess. I don't want your head flying around."

Daemon drove like he's in a speed race with a devil. Before she knew it, he already lost the chasing cars and were pulling in front of a house at the border of the district.

"How did you know that it's today? Did... Did Ariane asked for your help?"

He walked to a car and opened the door for her.

"You have to marry me and give me a son, Devon. That's the deal I made with your friend. You agreed and I'm not going to take it lightly if you're taking back your word. Are you?"

"No... I'm not."

"Then get inside."

Feeling the weight of her drastic decision, she slipped into the car and hugged herself. Surely, her own family is angry at her especially her father. She doesn't even know if she has a family anymore after she'd done what she'd done.

Daemon stopped in front of a church and removed his jacket. He's wearing a simple dress shirt underneath. He opened the door for me and held my hand.

"D-Daemon? What are we doing here?"

The man started walking while pulling her hand.

"I don't need a fancy wedding, Devon. Never liked that but for your family to recognize us together, I have to marry you." He looked at her torn dress and white face. "You're good enough."

That day, she married the mafia boss and the rival of her father and she then became Mrs. Druft.
