"Sir, are you alright ?" Nicholas asked as he helped Morgan up from the bed.

"I'm okay. What about the girl ?" Morgan asked, removing the medical pipes induced in him.

"She still hasn't woken up. We have a problem….." Nicholas trailed off, unsure of saying what he was about to say.

"What happened ?"

"Her background is simple but complicated. Her mother is diagnosed with a brain tumor and needs urgent operation tomorrow. But she hasn't woken up and can't afford the operation. We-I…." Nicholas trailed off again.

"Arrange for the operation. Make sure the best doctor is in charge of the operation. Then again, change her ward." He said calmly.

"But sir…."

"No Buts" Morgan said with a tone of finality. Then laid back on the bed.

Nicholas sighed and nodded.

"What about the people who tampered with your brakes ?" he asked again.

A devilish smile escaped Morgan's lips as he tilted his head, as if thinking of something.

"They are no big deal, we'll handle them later. It's good Xavier already made his moves." He smirked.

"Okay" Nicholas nodded and walked out of the ward.

Olivia's eyelid slowly flutters open, she frowned, scanning the room and the state she was in.

Oh right! Her mom!

"Mom…mom.. where's my mom ?" Olivia tried getting up from the bed, but couldn't.

Her whole body was screaming in pain, she was too painful to move her body.

Her hazy eyes wandered around the large, bright, Luxurious room. She frowned in confusion, trying to recall what happened to her.

"Doctor!…Nurse!…, Anyone there ? She yelled, after seeming to recall the last scene in her head.

She was about to scream again, when the door to her ward was opened from outside.

A tall, thin man walked in, he appeared to be in his late thirties or so. He was dressed in a long white coat, with his stethoscope hung around his neck.

A gentle smile was etched on his face, making him look gentle and kind.

Gentle and kind ? Scoffs, Ben was neither kind nor gentle. He knew he had to be sweet and kind in front of Olivia because she was brought by Morgan himself.

"For how long have I been here ?"

"It's 48 hours now. How are you feeling ?" He asked, seemingly scanning her face.

"I'm feeling okay. Can I be discharged ? I mean I need to see my mom, I'll come back to pay my bills. Please doctor" Olivia pleaded, reaching to hold the man's coat.

Ben was short of words. He knew she couldn't be discharged as she was yet to recover and Morgan hadn't given him such an order.

"You can't be discharged right now. Your injuries would reopen, you should take enough rest, okay" he smiled, gesturing to her to lay back down.

"You don't understand, my mom is right there in the hospital. Her surgery is supposed to be two days ago, but I don't know, I need to see my mom please. Let the injuries reopen, it doesn't matter right now"

"You should listen to what the doctor is saying. Have enough rest" a deep voice chipped in.

Olivia and Ben turned to the direction the voice came from.

"Morgan ??" Ben said, his tone mixed with excitement.

He was glad Morgan showed up, if not he was clueless on what to do with the young Olivia.

"But I need to see my mom," Olivia said, more like she was crying.

"You don't need to, your mom is fine," Morgan said calmly. His deep eyes swept past Olivia and stopped at Ben, reminding him to leave.

Olivia glanced at Morgan, tons of questions lingering in them.

After Ben left, Morgan dragged a chair close to him and sat down.

"Let's cut to the chase. My car knocked you down, so I'm paying the bills. In your mom's case, I already paid for her operation and it has been done successfully. Congrats, your mom is fine now" Morgan smiled.

Olivia couldn't digest what she heard, she opened her mouth and closed them back.

"Y-you took care of my mom's operation ?" she stuttered.

"Yes, and I can help you bring your father down"

Olivia knitted her brows, while trying to read Morgan's expression.

"What do you get in return ?" she asked, her voice becoming distant.

Morgan smiled toothly.

"You're such a smart girl. We'll discuss that when you're fully recovered, you can rest now" he said, and got up to leave.

"How do I know you're telling the truth ?" Olivia suddenly asked.

"I will take you to see her, once you've recovered. You wouldn't want her to see your injuries, do you ?"

"No" Olivia shook her head in answer.

"Good girl, now rest" Morgan smirked, with that he left the ward.

The hell! was she supposed to sleep when her mind kept roaming and her head thinking about what the man said earlier.

"Could it be possible that mom's surgery is finally taken care of ?"

She sighed.

As long as her mom was well and okay for her, she would do anything to return the favor.

Feels like the medicines injected into her drip by the doctor was taking a toll on her. Her eyelids were getting heavier and soon she fell asleep.

Inside what seemed like a basement. A man could be seen pacing up and down, anger and fury evident in his whole demeanor.

Two other men stood by his side, with an apologetic or rather a guilty look on their faces. The air around them was so tense that they didn't dare to breathe, afraid it might cost their lives.

Bang!

The angry man slammed his hand on the wall, cursing in frustrated anger.

"You couldn't get a little job done. Why the fuck did i hire you for ? Do you realise not killing that bastard would make him feel so proud of his fucking self? Do you know what it would cost me if he comes back stronger than before? Fuck!"

"You're both dumb right now huh? You screwed a job I gave you and you have no explanation, shit! I want no damn explanation from you. Get the fuck out of my face and never show yourselves before me ever again! Damned assholes!"

The other two men bowed and left the basement hastily as if being pursued by some kind of monster. At least they could finally breathe being far away from him.

The angry man glanced at the camera that was on the floor, he bent to pick it up but then again slammed it hard against the floor and it broke into pieces.

He cursed and went out of the building.
